HPC Q&A

The HPC Team hosts a weekly Q&A session providing interactive support to MOGON users. The Q&A sessions are scheduled for every Thursday from 10 to 11 am via the Big Blue Button (BBB) platform. Participants can join these sessions using the following link .

The objective of these sessions is to provide a forum for MOGON users to pose general inquiries, addressing questions regarding jobs, hardware, and other aspects of HPC operations in an informal environment.

Furthermore, the BBB platform enables the creation of virtual breakout rooms, which can be utilized for one-on-one discussions between an HPC administrator and a user on specific project-related issues. Users interested in this should contact the HPC Team via at least three days prior to the Q&A session. The request should include details such as research area and software involved, any scripts or job scripts, specific questions or problems, the objective for the session, and the number of participants expected. Breakout sessions are limited to 1.5 hours. If a more extended discussion is needed, a separate co-working session can be arranged outside of the regular Q&A schedule.

It is important to emphasize that the HPC Q&A is not a substitute for the comprehensive HPC courses offered by the team. It is designed as a supplementary service for users needing immediate assistance or advice.
