New MOGON OnDemand independent of SLURM 🚀

MOGON OnDemand now has a new area: iMOD. It will provide dedicated applications that are not tied to a job – they run entirely outside SLURM, so nothing has to be submitted, nothing waits in a queue, and your share stays untouched. Open the app in the browser and get going.

The first application in this area is the VS Code Server. We deliberately start with it, as we think it gives our users the most immediate benefit.

You can find the app on the dashboard of MOD.

Resources: user slices are implemented, so each user gets 4 CPUs and 8 GB RAM. Please keep in mind that this is a multi-user system and be considerate of each other. In case of misuse we will be forced to initiate the usual administrative measures.

Please keep in mind: iMOD is still in its early stage, so individual features may not work as expected. Thanks for bearing with us – and please let us know about problems so we can address them.
